AM I A CANDIDATE FOR PBM?
Your eye doctor will evaluate if you have age-related macular degeneration and if you are a candidate for PBM. PBM is the first and only FDA approved treatment for early and intermediate dry age-related macular degeneration.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING TREATMENT?
The treatment is non-invasive and takes a total of 4 minutes per eye. The treatment does not require any drops, dilation, or anesthesia.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT?
Following treatment, your eyes may feel dry. If so, you can use a preservative free artificial tear as needed. You may also be slightly light sensitive following treatment, but this should only last for a brief period of time. Otherwise, you are free to carry on with your daily activities.
