HOW DO I KNOW IF CONTACT LENSES ARE RIGHT FOR ME?

Soft contact lenses are a great option for those who want a break from glasses.

There are several options available, and your optometrist can determine the ideal lens fit for your vision and lifestyle needs.

  • DAILY DISPOSABLE CONTACT LENSES

Daily Disposable contact lenses are most frequently prescribed. This is because daily disposable contact lenses are the healthiest lenses on the market today. With the integration of the newest lens material and technology, these lenses allow for greater oxygen permeability and improved lens wettability. These lenses serve as a wonderful option for those suffering from dry eyes. Additionally, replacing lenses on a daily basis greatly decreases the risk of infection due to contact lenses. However, if daily disposable contact lenses do not fit your specific lifestyle needs, we are still able to offer 2-week lenses, as well as monthly lenses.

  • CONTACT LENSES FOR ASTIGMATISM

Patients with astigmatism require a special contact lens called “Toric Contact Lenses” to enable them to achieve optimal vision in contacts.  With the advancements in technology, there are several more astigmatic lens options available to patients today. It is encouraged that you schedule a consultation so your astigmatism can be better evaluated and the proper lens can be chosen for you.

  • MULTIFOCAL/BIFOCAL CONTACT LENSES

Beginning around the age of 40, the need for reading glasses increases as it becomes harder to focus on things up close. This can be very frustrating to some patients. Thankfully, there are multifocal contact lens options available that enable you to see both far away and up close without always having to rely on reading glasses.
